Digital Fireside: Making sustainability more fun with The Cheeky Panda

In our May 18th Digital Fireside Alan Thompson, CEO of NRS Healthcare, will interview Julie Chen and Chris Forbes, founders of The Cheeky Panda, an innovative brand offering sustainable bamboo alternatives to household paper products.

We will explore how and why they created the business, their journey so far, the vision for the future and what their story and insights may mean for other leaders, businesses and brands.

Chris Forbes and Julie Chen were both running their own businesses when they met in 2014. They fell in love and, in 2015, Julie had the idea to create a sustainable bamboo brand to replace everyday paper products. They launched The Cheeky Panda, which sells everything from loo roll to baby wipes.

Today, they are a certified B Corp selling over 16 products in 25 countries worldwide. They are growing quickly with a recent valuation of £85.5m and are even making plans for an IPO. And their mission is to cut carbon, reduce plastic and save trees in their own cheeky way.
