The leadership journey of a solutionist with Solitaire Townsend

Last week’s Digital Fireside with Solitaire Townsend was an amazing opportunity to learn from a sustainability trailblazer.

Paul Skinner interviewed Soli to learn about her career journey from co-founding Futerra to writing her latest book The Solutionists: How Businesses Can Fix the Future.

We covered everything from her childhood growing up on a council estate and her early career working in social justice, to her current work at Futerra and helping Hollywood scriptwriters to better incorporate climate narratives.

After the live session members said:

“Such an inspiring session! I had some kind of ideas popcorn going off in my brain. There was a timely reminder of 'selling the sizzle' and ditching the doom to gain more momentum. Great insights around the power of women and our role in creating stable communities. And the importance of skills over services for consultancies to stay relevant.”

“My favourite quote from Solitaire Townsend was around the role businesses can play in reshaping the sustainable future narrative, ‘businesses are good at telling us what a desirable life is’.”

“Great session to start 2024. Thank you Solitaire Townsend. Liked your advice around selling ‘the emotional payback of a sustainable future’."
